FAQ

Why Does Taste of Taiwan call it Cocktail tea instead of bubble tea?

“Bubble tea” is a old term we used in Taiwan is 1980’s. Originally the “bubble” referred to the foam formed on the surface of the tea after shaken. When bubble tea spreads out around the world, people mistake the meaning of the “bubble” for the toppings like tapioca pearls which we add to the drink. As the composition and the way we make the tea drink are similar to cocktail, thus Taste of Taiwan coins a new term “Cocktail Tea” for this tea drink
